This is what folks call a “logic proof”. This is part of a class I chose to take, instead of a math class. Doesn’t it look like math? It sure does, which is surprising because I’m currently in a PHILOSOPHY CLASS.
According to my teacher, when confronted about the everyday utility of stuff like this, said that OSU almost made it mandatory for all transfer students, because their analytical were so poor.
None of this, of course, will ever be used outside of the classroom I’m learning this hogwash in. Arguments can’t be broken down like this, at least in a realm that isn’t in the basement of some lecture hall. If they could, I doubt we would still be killing people over ancient rocks and buildings in the Middle East.
Sure, I get it. WE NEED ANALYTICAL SKILLS. But learning voodoo like this to gain analytical skills is like playing video games for the hand-eye coordination when the ultimate goal is to play in an NBA game.
