Senator Tim Schaffer (R-Lancaster). Like a typical schoolyard bully, this man is attacking the weak and unrepresented.
So a Republican from Lancaster wants to bring drug testing to Ohio’s welfare applicants. Neat.
Why is it the Republican party, always the first in line to invoke the name of Christ, but also lead the charge to attack the social safety net of our country? In an age where corporations like General Electric aren’t paying Federal taxes.
For the last 40 years, the tax burden is the only thing to “trickle down” from the uber rich. 1% of this country own 90% of its wealth. How is this fair?
It’s funny to watch these crackers — and I’m sorry, but that’s exactly what these people are — who have no idea what is going on in some of this state’s poorest precincts, but are the ones so brazenly swinging their hatchet at the lifelines which allow other human beings to subsist. It’s logic that runs about as deep as a fingernail; it’s blatant rare-meat meant to appeal to idiots. (A very large voting block in the American electorate.)
I’m tired of our politicians using blatant dog-whistle racism tactics to stoke old white people into shedding the social safety net on the way to their graves. Have these people never read the New Testament and seen what Jesus had to say about the poor? And these people are waiting on Christ to descend from the clouds and kill two bros having sex?
It’s ignorance, which I think is the biggest enemy in the United States. Florida, for example, has already went down this path. There were no savings found and less than 3% of applicants failed. What a waste of resources, but what another coupe for the blossoming drug testing industry in this country. (Surprise, it’s corrupt.)
There are always going to be people who use and abuse the system. No doubt about it; but you know what? There are bigger problems than some ol’ dude hustling the welfare system, especially when you consider how many honest folks it’s helping. Why are we adding red tape and bureaucracy to an under-fed kid’s next meal? How will this waste of tax-money help America’s government serve people more efficiently? (Of course, Republicans don’t want that. It’d hamper their narrative.)
I know every American is the hardest worker in the entire world, and every recipient is nothing but a meth-addicted Mom using her welfare on a pack of Pall-Malls instead of one of her six children, but in the end, this is just peanuts we’re talking about here. This is just another tactic used by the puppetmasters to funnel Americans into one of two camps.
Racism is still rampant in America’s institutions, but it’s increasingly coming about social class too. As technology advances, it’s become easier to hang out with people who are just like us. Americans weave themselves into little cocoons, and there’s little social interaction on these issues because America’s political system has become so “vitriolic.” This allows the hateful idiots to prosper.
Honestly, I hope Christ is real, but if he is, he’s weeping for Ohio right now.

Tuesday, with the results of the various elections Obama
knew the news media would spend several days talking about the terrible
results. Start with the vote in North Carolina on defining marriage.
Being on the losing end of a 60-40 voter split. In West Virginia 40% of
democrat voters vote for a convicted felon in prison. In Indiana his
favorite republican gets drummed. Then in Wisconsin Scott Walker gets
just about the same number of votes as all of the democrats did, while
Republicans had no real reason to vote. It was a terrible day, following
several weeks of one bad thing after another.
Obama needed to change the conversation. I am sure he would have
preferred to do this in September or October, to get the news media to
be glowing over him. I think he saw he was already being defined for the
independents and felt he had to change the conversation.
